WELCOME. We’re glad that you’ve taken the time
to visit us at our clubs web sight!! You are also invited to come and
join us at 9:00 am the first Saturday of every month for breakfast at
the Radisson inn located on 41st south just east of hwy 169.
Who are we, and what’s the Tulsa Jag club all about?
The Tulsa Jaguar club is a group of individuals that either have (or
have had) a Jaguar car, and/or are appreciators of Jaguar cars. Our
membership is a very diverse group. For some reason it seems that Jaguar
owners (and enthusiast ) have a number of things in common, more than
just the cars that we decide to purchase and drive for transportation.
We are a group of individuals that enjoy each others company, Jag’s or
not. Because of the clubs diversity it is the goal of the club’s
directors and members to generate different (and organize) kinds of
activities that will (and do) appeal to all aspects of our member ship.
What activities do we have?
Social events:
Dinners, and wine tasting events:
On occasion we get to gather for dinners at members homes, and
restaurants, theme diners, wine tasting, and other things. Of course the
back bone of our social activity is our Saturday morning breakfast the
first Saturday of every month at the Radisson inn just east of hwy 169
on 41st south.
The Arts:
One of our members is a former prima ballerina for the Tulsa ballet.
With her gracious invitation our member ship has enjoyed (after
attending the Ballet) the privilege of a personally escorted tour of all
the back stage activity at the PAC as well as introductions and “chat
secessions” with members of the world class Tulsa ballet company. Thanks
Georgia! We also enjoy attending Jazz festivals and other “culturally”
related activities.
Driving events:
As a Club we have the ability to participate in car rallies, and
European style tours consisting of driving times from an afternoon’s day
of “touring” style driving on “Jag quality” back roads to three day 700
mile “tours”. The JCNA (Jaguar club north America) also annually
sponsors a JCNA sanctioned race called a slalom. This driving event is a
timed event with national ranking (inside the JCNA) that normally takes
place on a parking lot some where in Tulsa. The track is an oval
(demarked by cones) that is about 200 feet long, and 180 feet wide. It’s
a three lap event. The first lap is in the shape of an hour glass, the
second lap is a figure 8, and the third lap is an oval. It’s a fun safe
event with driving speeds normally not exceeding about 30 mph. Every one
is welcome to participate, and all kinds of car, and all ages of drivers
(men and women) do!
Why would you want to be a member?
Whether your looking to meet a new group of friends, or if you are a new
Jag owner and looking for some one who might be able to help you with
some answers to questions about Jag ownership, and maintenance we are a
group of interesting, happy, well rounded individuals. Again, the
diversity of our membership may in fact expose you to people who have
much more in common with you than you expected. You’ve come this far why
not come on out for a Saturday morning breakfast (first Saturday of the
month at the Radisson inn on 41st south just east of hwy 169) and give
us a try? We’ll welcome you like one of our own, and have some fun.
O-yha¼¼Feel free to drive your Jag to the breakfast as well. It doesn’t
have to be new, and it doesn’t have to be perfect, we love em-all!!!
Thanks for visiting, and we hope to see you soon.
