 The XJRS is one of the most potent creations every to emerge from the Jaguar Works in Coventry. Jaguar Sport launched a limited edition of the XJR-S in collaboration with Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) one of the most respected racing engineers in the UK. In 1993 a special run of 100 XJR-S were sold only in the U.S. The run consisted of 50 Coupes and 50 convertibles with 25 of each type in either black or red numbered of 100 on a Sterling Silver plaque made by Asprey, one of England’s most prestigious jewelers, on the center console. The XJR-S “Sport” is the most potent 6.0L V12 engine every made with 315 horsepower and the driveline, suspension and brakes were engineered, built and installed by TRW. Among the many other upgrades are the Zytec ECU ignition system, rear spoiler, under tray, lower side sills, alloy wheels, 4 pipe exhaust system, special instrumentation, and a custom front end treatment just to mention a few. Options include climate control air conditioning, power seats with lumbar support and memory, heated seats and door mirrors, tilt steering wheel, radio/CD changer. The original bill of sale to the dealer was $81,060.00.
