The Club had a Club sponsored Brunch on Sat. 9.27.25
On Saturday (Sept 27th) the Jaguar club of Tulsa had a club sponsored brunch at the home of club members Don and Carol Write's. The generosity of the Write's allowing us to use their home as the venue for this event is certainly a reflection of their valued friendship with our club, and ALL OF it's members!! Don and Carol have been members of the Jaguar club of Tulsa for over 25 years!
The brunch (Idea) seemed to be pretty popular and was WELL attended... We had 24+ RSVP's and almost (I lost count?) 28-30 people show up. While Roger Hanes (my great friend and club president) and I (Stan Lackey, club member, and web master) had planed a pretty extensive menu. This included waffles, eggs benedict, bacon, sausage links, sour dough and whole wheat toast, English muffins, Mimosas, and Bloody Mary's, and coffee. With ALL that planning it seemed that OMELLETS were the HIT of the day!!
The WEATHER was perfect. Don and Carol have a Beautiful home, with an even nicer (PERFECT) patio., and outdoor entertainment area. Could I say MORE??? YES, but my words could NEVER describe the event well enough to do it the event justice. According to the feed back, Everyone had a great time, and Roger, and I survived ...LOL...LOL...AND????
Did anyone (other then Myself) drive a Jaguar to the Brunch? I HAVEN'T a clue!!! I (Stan L.) was to busy trying to pass my impromptu crash course in OMLETE making!! For those who may be interested we used used 6 dozen (72) eggs for the Brunch omelets, and another 16 making the (unused) holidays sauce!! AND by using two sauce pans to cook the omelets, we were able to deliver an omelet in less than every 2 minuets. 24-26 omelets in approx. 45 minuets. It was A REAL test for the untrained "fry cook" (ME) LOL...LOL.....
